The beautiful beaches of Seychelles and the lovely landscape of the islands are then spread across 12 pages in Lonely Planet Traveller’s magazine in the “Perfect Trip” section, highlighting the best the country has to offer, as those who live in the UK huddle indoors, away from the cold outside.

While the British continue to brave a cold snap at a time when spring should have been there, a lot of people would welcome the big Seychelles feature in the latest edition of the award-winning Lonely Planet Traveller magazine, which hit the newsstands this week.

There is no way to miss the magazine as it also carries one of the most powerful pictures of the islands on its front cover. The picture of a lone fisherman in his boat on a bright sunny day, with blue skies and clear waters ahead was taken at Anse Source d’Argent.

The pages have lots of full-color photography and practical information to make any potential client’s trip in Seychelles memorable.

The feature follows a press trip undertaken by a travel writer and photographer from Lonely Planet Traveller in February, and which took them to different islands and to most of the destination’s main attractions.

From the picturesque white sandy beaches of Seychelles, the feature also exposes the splendor of the islands’ amazing greenery, its mountains, and the flora and fauna that so enriches its nature.

The conservation efforts being undertaken on Cousin Island, which is a nature reserve, is also highlighted in sublime writing and amazing pictures as the magazine sheds an eye on the eco-tourism part of the destination.

In one sentence, Lonely Planet describes the destination as: “There is much more to the Seychelles than meets the eyes – beyond the paradislacal beaches, discover wild national parks, laidback local life, and extraordinary flora and fauna.”

On a page depicting the main attractions of the islands visited, the writer described the Seychelles as “splendidly isolated in mid-ocean between Africa and India – perfect for island-hopping territory, hop aboard a local ferry to access rainforest walks, gin clear waters ripe for snorkeling, and some of the world’s oldest animals.”

From the rich marine life of the Ste. Anne Marine park, to the natural treasures of the Vallee-de-Mai on Praslin, to the beautiful creatures and their habitat on Cousin Island and to the charms of the islands of Praslin and La Digue, this feature could well be anyone’s wish list of a perfect holiday in the Seychelles.

The feature ends with essential tips for travelers and how one can enjoy a memorable stay on the sun-kissed islands, whatever their budget. A number of hotels from the mid- to high-range have also been reviewed and recommended on each of the islands visited.

The PR and News Bureau manager for UK, Lena Hoareau, has welcomed the extensive coverage on Seychelles and described it as “stunning and very well done.”

“The magazine is one of the biggest attractions on the newsstands in UK this week, because the message being sent across by the front cover is what everyone could wish for as the cold spell continues. The feature is comprehensive, attractive and does Seychelles justice for what it is and what it has to offer,” she said.
